HOME FIRES FASHION

Hello today I decided to take some fashion advice from the past. ITV has recently been broadcasting a new programme called Home Fires and I love it. It highlights the impact on women during wartime and shows how the WI helped many women at the time. It shows a true understanding of daily life for women and how they had to adapt to war on the home front. So any who.... Lets get into the actual point of this post. I could definitely see that cardigans and blouses were a big fashion statement in the 1940s along with sweater vests and tweed skirts. All of which are making a big come back in the year of 2015 especially the wide leg trouser.

Hope you like it and thank you for reading! Xx

Makeup Through The Decades (The Colourful 80s)

Hello, because yesterdays makeup post went down a treat I decided to make another one. Today I decided to do the Colourful 80s. And yes the colours may seem daring and a bit of a gamble but if the 80s pulled it off then why cant we. Using the colours in small amounts can make a big difference. Like by lining only your waterline with a similar blue to the one in the image.

Anyway hope you like it and thank you for reading. Xx

P.S Any of these looks that I show can go with some of the Prom Looks that I exhibited earlier on this blog. Thank You Chums!

Makeup Through The Decades (Classic 1950s)

Hello today I decided to do a quick makeup post that could maybe be used on some of my prom looks I presented earlier this year or could be used to go with the 'Home Fires Fashion' to complete the look. I suppose a lot of my posts lately could be interlinked to create one full look. (Wow Bethany is being clever)

Anyway hope you enjoy this little post and thank you for reading! X

Short Hair Hairstyles (Keira Knightly)

Hello friends, today I decided to do a Short Hair Hairstyles post. However this may not be very relatable or popular amongst my audience so I may not do many of these. Let me know in the comments if you think this is a good idea as I think this is a bit of a gamble. However I think Miss Knightly looks lovely with this little headpiece. I also believe this would look lovely for a more casual prom look. At first I thought a headband would look weird in a pixie cut but here I think it looks beautiful....

And if you missed my last post and were interested in reading about the Royal Baby I will link that here. Thanks for reading Chums!

The Royal Baby!

Hello peeps, today marks a week since little Princess Charlotte was born so today I decided to do a little write up on the new addition to The Royals.

The new Royal Baby: Courtesy of Popsugar.com

Last week Kate and William announced the name of their beautiful little girl. Charlotte Elizabeth Diana highlights not only the current Queens name but Harry and Williams late mother Princess Diana. Many people believe that this name is just perfect for the new princess and I think it flows nicely.

Charlotte came in at 8lb 3oz and was born in the St Mary's Hospital, Westminster. Her birth was all over the news and her face on the front page of tabloids. Kate looked lovely in the photographs and I personally believe she is a style icon. Charlottes little brother George stole the show by looking cute (as always) and was rearing to go. Ready to show his cutest pose to the cameras.

(Me and my family always say that little George would be perfect for my 2 year old sister, Victoria. She has got the royal name and everything but she would be the most common princess ever)

We are all delighted for the new addition to the Royals and hope to see some lovely family shoots soon (or at least I do)

Thank you for reading and let me know in the comments your thoughts on the gorgeous new baby and whether you thought Charlotte was going to be a boy or girl, and do you like the name.

Thanks Chums! Xx

5 Things To Do If Ever In The North East! Xx

Hi, because of the election I am feeling very patriotic so came up with this quaint idea of what to do if you are ever in the North East of England. I have lived in the North East for a very long time, all my life in fact, and I have been to all of these places and I love them greatly. Anyway lets just get into this! Hope you like it and thanks for reading! Xx

(I should of really numbered the pictures but any who)
(going from left to right)

The first one is called Alnwick castle and if any of you are HP or Downton fans then this is the place for you as some scenes from these productions were filmed here. There are also many exibitions on throughout the year about Harry Potter so it is a must see if you are a big fan.

The large mansion below is called Bowes Museum and this also has many exhibitions on throughout the year. It's brilliant if you love history like me.

The third one along is one of my favourites and this is Beamish. It's called the Living Museum of the North because it is like you have gone in the TARDIS and gone back to times of post war. There are actors and the buildings are originals of the era. The pub there was taken from my home town brick by brick and moved to the museum. It is brilliant. (And the fish and chip shop is gorgeous.... Just putting it out there)

The next one is the Sunderland Empire Theatre and if you have seen my previous post about Wicked The Musical then you will know that I have recently been here, but it wasn't my first time. It is such a beautiful theatre and I wish to perform there one day (but I doubt it). Anyway its gorgeous and a lot of west end shows come here whilst touring so its the best place to go if you cant make it to the West End.

And finally the last one. This is the (drum roll please) the Metro Centre. And if any of you like a bit of retail therapy whilst in the North East then this is the place to go as this currently holds more than 340 shops ranging from 'Lush' to 'TOPSHOP'. Because of this it is one of the largest retail parks in Europe. It also has a cinema and a food court (I mean an area just dedicated to food). Some people say this place is like a box of chocolates as it is two layers of pure delight. A brilliant place for your Christmas shopping.

Anyway rant over. Thanks for reading and tell me in the comments if you like these kind of posts. Thank you chums! Xx
