#LDN

Hi chums, sorry I haven't been posting lately its just I have been working a lot so anyway I want to tell you about my holiday to London this year.

I normally go to see a show but because I had already seen Wicked I so instead we went to new places such as Covent Garden which is my favourite place ever. It's full of cute vintage shops and really posh designer shops, not to mention it has a Magnum shop, that I went in and made my own chocolate overload magnum.

We also went to Oxford Street to 'start' my Christmas shopping but I didn't see anything so I left it.

We were going to go on the 'Sherlock' tour around where they filmed the hit BBC show Sherlock put it chucked it down with rain so we decided to go to Jamie Oliver's Italian instead. I had a super food salad which was super amazing and super healthy. Thank you Jamie.

Again sorry for my photography skills, please comment how to improve and thank you for reading, I love London. Xx

"Style Is Eternal"

Hi chums, some time in the six weeks me and my friend Ellie <Insert her blog here> went to the Yves Saint Laurent exhibition at the gorgeous Bowes Museum and wow those clothes.

Mr Laurent once said "Fashion Fades, Style Is Eternal" and boy is he right. I saw some of the most iconic pieces from YSL and saw his story within fashion. I have to admit it wasn't as good as I hoped but it was still great.
I am only keeping this one short and sweet so it looks like you've already come to the end of this post. Thank you for all your support and I will be posting more often as I have a little time off work. xx

Wynyard Hall Spa & Adternoon Tea

Hi Chums, yesterday me and my mam went to a very posh place. At first it seemed like we didn't belong there with our common accents and weird childish sense of humour but good job I am an actress because I soon got the hang of being a mature posh woman. As you can tell by the title me and mam went to Wynyard Spa which was amazing. It included herbal saunas, steam rooms and an ice fountain with no ice.

You got a robe which was huge and made me look like a bear and don't get me started on the slippers. Just put it this way my little size 2 feet cannot fit into the massive slippers.

Afternoon tea was well er different as you got ginger mousse in an egg shell. it didn't even taste of ginger but the rest if it was gorgeous I would definitely have it again.

Thanks for reading chums and I apologise for not posting often I have loads more ideas to come xxx

Word On The Street!

Hey, sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately I've just been extremely busy. Anyway recently me and my mam went on a National Holiday to the Coronation Street Tour. This was our 2nd National Holiday and they are amazing. The bus is really comfortable and our driver was really polite, his name was Simon.

Any who, the first day we went to Liverpool for some shopping and Simon originally dropped everyone off at Albert Docks but mam asked if we could get dropped off closer to the shops and Simon kindly took me and mam around Liverpool on a VIP tour and dropped us off right around the corner from Topshop, aka my favourite shop. (He must love us) Oh and get this. I got chatted up in Primark. Me of all people.

Exhibit A
After our shopping spree we got to the hotel and for some odd reason there was a painting of a naked woman above our bed. Which me and mam found quite hilarious and started taking selfies with it and posting them on facebook. Oops!

In the hotel we found random miscellaneous objects that we could have a photo-shoot with.. See below.

The next day we had our breakfast and dashed on the bus as we were going to see the original sets of the British Soap Opera, Coronation Street.

It was brill. There were loads of photo opportunities and me and mam acted out being Gail and Eileen who are neighbouring rivals currently fighting over a guy called Michael. We were pulling pints in the rovers and nipped to Roys Rolls for a sarnie. Simon came along too and our tour guide was soo funny, I will have to leave a positive comment on TripAdviser.
Sorry my photography skills are rubbish, but I am proud of the Liverpool Landscape

Before I go I want to let you in on a secret... No I don't fancy Simon. The secret is that I wasn't really a fan of Coronation Street but I can safely say, I have definitely been converted. Oh and that it is way better than the Rovers at Blackpool.
Thanks for reading and I'll see you later chums (well not see you that's weird)

(I've got a blog post planned from my trip to the races if you would fancy reading that.)

These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things!

Hello, sorry I haven't been posting much later but I've got a job (Yay well done Bethany) and I haven't got any good ideas to write about. Anyway I decided to do a little life update and tell you some of my favourite things (hence the title).

Well, first of all my little sister made me take a trip down memory lane as she put Garfield: The Movie on that came on in 2004. Boy, did that make me feel old. My Top Gear obsession has got out of hand and so has me Big Bang Theory 'thing'.

I've been getting more confident to show my trombone skills and Pretty Little Liars has got my mind in a twist. But in a good way.

Eating healthy is getting very important to me and I should of done a blog post on that oh and.... Rimmel lipsticks are my new favourite thing.

Thank you for reading and I will come up with some better blog post ideas soon I promise.
(I've got a performance coming up soon and loads of holidays and shopping trips so you are bound to be hearing of them) (Oh and my school have got the whole cinema booked out for us to see Terminator Genesis... Maybe a review on that may be a good idea) Thanks again and love you x

Backstage Access!

Hi,chums sorry I haven't been posting on here a lot recently but I have been on stage. And today I intend to tell you all about the happenings of the four shows that i performed in recently. You have (kind of) got a VIP backstage pass to the 'Night At The West End Musicals' performance. Enjoy!

First of all I want to mention that backstage was extremely hot and even with 8 fans I was still boiling in my own sweat. However it didn't help that I was in a huge dress with a blonde wig (I was playing Glinda from Wicked so you may see my made up word 'Glindafied' quite often)

I had four costume changes including an orphan from Annie and a man from Bugsy Malone. Having these costume changes meant that I had little time to get changed between each one not to mention three cheek mic changes. However most of these cheek mics failed me throughout the show. Because of having these costume changes I assigned myself a 'special' dressing room (AKA hospital screen) that was close to the stage as the real dressing rooms were like cellars. You have to go down a couple of flights of stairs to a small room filled with freezers and barrels of drinks.

Like I mentioned earlier I had to be Glindafied and this included a huge dress. I was not (repeat not) going to test the dress with stairs. Me and stairs are't friends as it is.

The props table is my favorite part of being on stage as things are set up neatly (well neat enough) and you can mess around with other peoples props. Yay!

Thank you for reading and I may come up with some better ideas for blog posts later.

Quirky Places To Visit In London!

Hi, I have been to London a few times now and it is no doubt that I am in love with the place. The mixture of cultures and the different eras on every corner. And there are always new places to explore. So today I decided to display a map of London with 10 hotspots of places. Some of these I have been to and some I want to go to some day.
so lets get into this!

1. Harrods
Now this is a place I have been to and it was brilliant. The decoration was immaculate the only thing was the only thing I could afford was a carrier bag.

2. Pauls Bakery
This I've heard is absolutely amazing but I couldn't really tell for myself. However I may give it a whirl when I go to London this year.

3. Theatre Royal Drury Lane
Ah now I have been here and I remember it well. If any of you plan to go to London you cant go without seeing a show and I saw Shrek The Musical here. It was amazing (you may notice that I am running out of positive adjectives). And I don't know if this was a coincidence but Drury Lane is where the 'Muffin Man' lived (why past tense) and he is mentioned in the Shrek films.

4. The Sherlock Holmes Museum
I have not been here but I believe if you are a big Sherlock fan (like me) then this is a must see on your trip around the capital.

5. Madame Tusauds
I have been to the Madame Tusauds in London and Blackpool and they are both extraordinary. A great opportunity for pictures believe me. And a little birdie told me that a Benedict Cumerbatch wax work has been made so this is my chance to maybe go again.

6. The Open Air Theatre in Regents Park
I have yet to go here but it looks awesome and here is the proof.

7. Oxford Street
If any of you are looking for some retail therapy but don't have a 'Kardashian' budget then this is the place to go. I have not been here but I am to go there this year. I hear the Topshop is amazing. Keep this between you and me but I think a lot of my money may (or may not) be spent there.

8. The National Art Gallery
I've been outside of this place but not actually in it (I know sad right). I am always interested in history and artwork so this would be a great place for me to go however, none of my family like this sort of stuff so it looks like I will not be going there.

9. Aldwych
There is a ghost station in Aldwych which sounds very interesting but spooky. I know in the Sherlock episode: The Empty Hearse, Sherlock went in the underground station to find a huge bomb implanted in the entire car. It would be pretty awesome if I could rein act that scene.

10.Covent Garden
This is a gorgeous little quirky place full of specialist shops and markets. I have not been here but I have been told that it is on the list to see on our next London trip.

Thank you for reading and helping me along my holiday planning. Have a good day and just a side note I may not be posting as much because I am performing next week. Thank you. Xx

Top 10 TV Shows I Love

Hello there, me again. I've been thinking recently of new and innovating blog posts that I can come with and well, I've been failing. All my ideas have gone walk abouts and I can't find them anywhere (same can be said for my contact lenses) however I came up with the idea of sharing my favourite TV shows with you so lets get into it because I've got an audition soon!

In no particular order!

1. Doctor Who
I just love the exciting storylines and unpredictable plot twists of this show. There is always something new to find out every week and I have to say Peter Capaldi is doing well as the new doctor and may swiftly become my favourite. I am notoriously known for being a stereotypical whovian in my family, always taking the stories too far and coming up with new theories. Unfortunately I have not been to a convention so that may have to be a new addition to my bucket list.

2. Sherlock
It's obvious to everyone that known me that I am in love with Benedict Cumberbatch and I have to say he does play Sherlock Holmes to a T. Sherlock is written by the same people as Doctor Who so its obviously going to be complicated and witty. I love the comedic aspect to this show and believe Benedict pulls it off brilliantly. I am always on the edge of my seat with this show wondering who killed who and what Moriarty will do next but the ultimate question on my mind is... Will Sherlock and Molly ever get together.

3. Silent Witness
Now this show is a bit gruesome but awesome none the less. You arealways on the edge of your seat and you end up having to kick yourself when you find out who the killer is at the end. The stories are always immaculately planned and complicated to the max but I kinda like a challenge.

4. Inspector George Gently
This is yet another crime drama and you will see as we go on that I am quite mad on crime dramas. This is set in the 60s at the moment but every series comes a different decade. The story lines aren't as complicated but it has a comedy aspect that is just brilliant. Don't get me wrong the storylines are good just not as hard to figure out.

5. The Big Bang Theory
I am obsessed with this show lately and pretty much watch it none stop. The acting is amazing the jokes crack me up every time. So much so I got the box set and I am hiking through series to series. The only thing is that I have only got to series 7 and I cant find series 8 in the shops. However I love this show and like to see Sheldon and Amy's relationship grow. I think the main reason why I like this show is because I can compare it to my life and my friends. I do feel sorry for Raj though.

 6.The Goldbergs
Wow! This show is not only so funny but it is so cute too. My mam loves this as she grew up in the 80s and can relate to it strongly. I love how it shows you the real home videos at the end and dedicates each episode to real event or person in Adams life. It is brilliant.

7. The Syndicate
Wow another crime drama. This is about a group of people who work in a large manor house and they put the lottery on and win 14 million pounds between them. However a young girl has been recorded as missing and the suspects are the people within the group. The acting is amazing and the story always has me on my feet.

8. Broadchurch
This amazing show
definitely deserved a place on this list. It is brilliant in every way and had me guessing with each episode. don't get me wrong I was late to the party and I still haven't seen series 2 (so no spoilers please) but I really enjoyed series 1 and really want to read the book. All the acting was brilliant and each character had their own story which I loved. The plot is complicated but like I said I love a challenge.

9. The Code Of A Killer
This was a one off show on ITV documenting the real events of DNA analysis. John Simm is one of my favourite actors and he definitely did well in this show. It's one of them shows you have to watch every week.

10. Top Gear
This is relatively new obsession and a weird one at that. I just love how random it is and the presenters really do make the show. It's basically a show about cars but at least I can be in the conversation when the lads are going on about it.
Thank you for reading and if you have any TV recommendations just leave them in the comments. Have a good day! X

Jenna Vs Clara

Hello, me again. Today I decided to showcase some of my favourite outfits from one of my style icons. Jenna Coleman. Most people will know Jenna from doctor who as she plays the most up to date companion Clara. She has been one of my favourite companions because of her complicated story line and cute clothing. So therefore I decided to do a couple of style steels from herself as Jenna and her Doctor Who character Clara.

I noticed that both Clara and Jenna are quite similar in their outfit choices and I always like Jenna's bespoke style with a classic vintage twist.

I have found some of the original pieces from the show and made a great discovery that Jenna and. Clara are both big Topshop fans.

Thank you for reading and enjoy!
(By the way, I am really happy because I cooked tea today and my sister loved it) ...... bye!

HOBBS London!

Hello, when I was out shopping last week I saw this lovely collection if modern vintage clothing from a designer brand called Hobbs London. This brand is renowned for it's dresses and specific vintage, simple style within their clothing. I have also heard that Princess Kate loves this brand too. So because of the reasons above I decided to share some of my favourites with you... Hope you like it and thank you again, for reading. X

A Week In My Shoes!

Hello, I haven't posted in a while and I apologise, I have no excuse. However last week I took a million photos (no lie) so decided to put some of them in a blog post.

I'll start at the very beginning (a very good place to start). Yes I shall start weirdly with Saturday where I went to my very first festival. The atmosphere was great but the acts were rubbish.

Monday. I cant remember what I did on Monday so we shall proceed to Tuesday.

On Tuesday I went to the beach and moaned because I am not one for going in the sea and I fancied chicken... Not the traditional fish and chips. However the day did look up when me and my mam went to the cinema to watch Pitch Perfect 2, which I did a review on last week.

Wednesday, I went to Whitworth Hall and felt very posh as I was surrounded by deer's and my mam decided to take over the role of photographer and had a mini photo-shoot involving moi!

Thursday was a girly day for me and mam so we took the opportunity to have afternoon tea. AKA: posh sandwiches and stuffing your face with a variety of cakes.

Friday, I went to Ellie's house AKA That Weird Girl Ellie after I took my little sister to tumble tots and failed on all the gymnastics equipment. We took a trip down town. Just an excuse to buy something. Then I stayed for Britain's Got Talent. (Because it's tradition)

Saturday I went dancing with my sister Natalie and watched The Amazing Spiderman where I fell in love with Andrew Garfield and Spiderman in general. (Sorry Toby McGuire)

Sunday I went to a hot air balloon festival. Now if you read my 'Bucket List Dilemma' post you will know that it is one of my dreams to fly in a hot air balloon. However..... This so called 'Hot Air Balloon FESTIVAL' had no balloons in sight so instead I lightened the mood with a High School Musical sing-a-long and a dance in the park.

Thank you for reading.

Pitch Perfect 2 (THE REVIEW)

Hello, yesterday I went to see Pitch Perfect 2 and if you follow me on twitter (@JustOldCurious) (shameless self-promotion) you will know that I haven't seen the first movie (I know, I know I am out of the loop) but I still loved Pitch Perfect 2 and am now seriously thinking of starting an a cappella band. (If any of you have any name ideas for the band please let me know).

The Bellas
I loved that each character kind of  had their own story of coping with daily life involving the Bellas and helped each other out throughout the movie. The movie saw a new nemesis for the Bellas called Das Sound Machines, a german super group of excitement and a wide octave range. It also saw a new band member for the Bellas called Emily who is not only a great singer but a love interest for the socially awkward Benji. (btw I would totally go out with Benji, he is a cutie)

I laughed the whole way through the film and also danced along to all the songs.
Thank you for reading guys and if you have seen the first pitch perfect then please tell me if it links in with the second one. Thanks Xx

My Bucket List Dilemma!

Hi happy bank holiday by the way, hope you had a good day. Anyway today I was wanting to talk to you about my bucket list and the problems involving it.

Well, yeah most of my things could happen or have already happened but their are a couple that are now pretty much impossible. And I will explain why.

First of all I missed out marrying Benedict Cumberbatch for obvious/personal reasons but lets continue with my bucket dilemma.

Here exibit A are the things on my bucket list that are ticked off or could possibly happen. (ooh this is getting a bit unnecessarily like a crime drama)
(by the way if some one were to take me on a hot air balloon ride I would kind of love them forever)

I've been to see Ant and Dec live. I've seen Wicked and really want to see it again and don't ask about Blackpool! It just looked so awesome on the adverts.

However......

Here to the right are the two things on my bucket list that will never (ever) happen!

I cant be in Doctor who with Matt Smith because he isn't the Doctor anymore. I made a script and everything. Boy, called me obsessed but I made new plots involving me as the new mysterious character. Huh!

And Miranda doesn't make her sitcom 'Miranda' anymore.

Why? Why be such dream crushers?

P.S sorry if this post sounded really weird with big words that don't suit me. That's probably because I have been watching The Big Bang Theory like a lot. Me and my mam are kind of having a marathon

Thanks for reading and good night (who the hell do I think I am)

The Eurovision!

Hello, first I want to say a huge congratulations to Sweden for winning the Eurovision this year. Looks like my dream of seeing the Eurovision live will have to wait (or may never come true)
Anyway this post is a bit of a chatty one about the Eurovision.

Do you think its a fix?
Is it just all about the politics instead of the real meaning of music bringing the world together?
And do you think the right country won?

To be honest I had my betting on Iceland but they fell at the first hurdle so that just shows how much I know. However when I found out about this terrible discovery I then turned to Russia, Spain and Germany to maybe turn it around and show the world that I, Bethany Lewis-Burrows could pick out a winner. But judging on the probability of the amount of songs I chose the odds were very doubtful that I could win, and the same could be said for England ever winning the Eurovision.

I love the Eurovision and always feel very patriotic when watching it, even though we never win.

Festival Fashion!

Hello, tomorrow I am going to my very first festival. It's a tribute festival but it still counts. No judging okay guys. Anyway because I am missing the beloved Eurovision for this so called festival I decided to do a quick festival look.

Thanks for reading and enjoy!
P.S I may be doing a Eurovision post tomorrow so stay tuned for that. (Bare with me peeps, I'm still new at this)

Life's A Beach!

Hi, because summer is definitely on the way and I am a stereotypical British person who get excited over the slightest bit of sunlight. So therefore I had to do a swimwear post, (not to mention that I am pretty pleased with the title)

Thank you for reading and I couldn't believe it the other day when I got 272 page views in a day so thank you. It really does mean a lot.

Style Advice From The 60s (Inspired by Inspector George Gently)

Hello, because the hit BBC show Inspector George Gently was on tonight and the Home Fires inspired outfits went down a treat I decided to do a little fashion post inspired by Rachel, a character from the show.

Hope you like it and thank you for reading! Xx

Show You're True Selfie?

Hi peeps, today I was thinking about the worldwide phenomenon. The Selfie! (Dun Dun Duuuun)
Don't Wanna Look
The Half Smile
Then I went off on a tangent and thought about the different Selfie faces there is and what is my signature pose. I mean there are loads of different poses and all to me have different meanings and show your personality (because I'm weird like that) but don't get me started on the duck face. Like why, just why?
Anyway here are a few Selfie faces that I found that I have committed. (I am ashamed)

Just Thinking

The Old Fashioned Selfie

The Shocked Face (With ThatWeirdGirlEllie)
