Pitch Perfect 2 (THE REVIEW)

Hello, yesterday I went to see Pitch Perfect 2 and if you follow me on twitter (@JustOldCurious) (shameless self-promotion) you will know that I haven't seen the first movie (I know, I know I am out of the loop) but I still loved Pitch Perfect 2 and am now seriously thinking of starting an a cappella band. (If any of you have any name ideas for the band please let me know).

The Bellas
I loved that each character kind of  had their own story of coping with daily life involving the Bellas and helped each other out throughout the movie. The movie saw a new nemesis for the Bellas called Das Sound Machines, a german super group of excitement and a wide octave range. It also saw a new band member for the Bellas called Emily who is not only a great singer but a love interest for the socially awkward Benji. (btw I would totally go out with Benji, he is a cutie)

I laughed the whole way through the film and also danced along to all the songs.
Thank you for reading guys and if you have seen the first pitch perfect then please tell me if it links in with the second one. Thanks Xx

My Bucket List Dilemma!

Hi happy bank holiday by the way, hope you had a good day. Anyway today I was wanting to talk to you about my bucket list and the problems involving it.

Well, yeah most of my things could happen or have already happened but their are a couple that are now pretty much impossible. And I will explain why.

First of all I missed out marrying Benedict Cumberbatch for obvious/personal reasons but lets continue with my bucket dilemma.

Here exibit A are the things on my bucket list that are ticked off or could possibly happen. (ooh this is getting a bit unnecessarily like a crime drama)
(by the way if some one were to take me on a hot air balloon ride I would kind of love them forever)

I've been to see Ant and Dec live. I've seen Wicked and really want to see it again and don't ask about Blackpool! It just looked so awesome on the adverts.

However......

Here to the right are the two things on my bucket list that will never (ever) happen!

I cant be in Doctor who with Matt Smith because he isn't the Doctor anymore. I made a script and everything. Boy, called me obsessed but I made new plots involving me as the new mysterious character. Huh!

And Miranda doesn't make her sitcom 'Miranda' anymore.

Why? Why be such dream crushers?

P.S sorry if this post sounded really weird with big words that don't suit me. That's probably because I have been watching The Big Bang Theory like a lot. Me and my mam are kind of having a marathon

Thanks for reading and good night (who the hell do I think I am)

The Eurovision!

Hello, first I want to say a huge congratulations to Sweden for winning the Eurovision this year. Looks like my dream of seeing the Eurovision live will have to wait (or may never come true)
Anyway this post is a bit of a chatty one about the Eurovision.

Do you think its a fix?
Is it just all about the politics instead of the real meaning of music bringing the world together?
And do you think the right country won?

To be honest I had my betting on Iceland but they fell at the first hurdle so that just shows how much I know. However when I found out about this terrible discovery I then turned to Russia, Spain and Germany to maybe turn it around and show the world that I, Bethany Lewis-Burrows could pick out a winner. But judging on the probability of the amount of songs I chose the odds were very doubtful that I could win, and the same could be said for England ever winning the Eurovision.

I love the Eurovision and always feel very patriotic when watching it, even though we never win.

Thanks for reading and enjoy!
P.S I may be doing a Eurovision post tomorrow so stay tuned for that. (Bare with me peeps, I'm still new at this)

Life's A Beach!

Hi, because summer is definitely on the way and I am a stereotypical British person who get excited over the slightest bit of sunlight. So therefore I had to do a swimwear post, (not to mention that I am pretty pleased with the title)

Thank you for reading and I couldn't believe it the other day when I got 272 page views in a day so thank you. It really does mean a lot.

Hope you like it and thank you for reading! Xx

Show You're True Selfie?

Hi peeps, today I was thinking about the worldwide phenomenon. The Selfie! (Dun Dun Duuuun)
Don't Wanna Look
The Half Smile
Then I went off on a tangent and thought about the different Selfie faces there is and what is my signature pose. I mean there are loads of different poses and all to me have different meanings and show your personality (because I'm weird like that) but don't get me started on the duck face. Like why, just why?
Anyway here are a few Selfie faces that I found that I have committed. (I am ashamed)

HOME FIRES FASHION

Hello today I decided to take some fashion advice from the past. ITV has recently been broadcasting a new programme called Home Fires and I love it. It highlights the impact on women during wartime and shows how the WI helped many women at the time. It shows a true understanding of daily life for women and how they had to adapt to war on the home front. So any who.... Lets get into the actual point of this post. I could definitely see that cardigans and blouses were a big fashion statement in the 1940s along with sweater vests and tweed skirts. All of which are making a big come back in the year of 2015 especially the wide leg trouser.

Hope you like it and thank you for reading! Xx

Makeup Through The Decades (The Colourful 80s)

Hello, because yesterdays makeup post went down a treat I decided to make another one. Today I decided to do the Colourful 80s. And yes the colours may seem daring and a bit of a gamble but if the 80s pulled it off then why cant we. Using the colours in small amounts can make a big difference. Like by lining only your waterline with a similar blue to the one in the image.

Anyway hope you like it and thank you for reading. Xx

P.S Any of these looks that I show can go with some of the Prom Looks that I exhibited earlier on this blog. Thank You Chums!

Makeup Through The Decades (Classic 1950s)

Hello today I decided to do a quick makeup post that could maybe be used on some of my prom looks I presented earlier this year or could be used to go with the 'Home Fires Fashion' to complete the look. I suppose a lot of my posts lately could be interlinked to create one full look. (Wow Bethany is being clever)

Anyway hope you enjoy this little post and thank you for reading! X

Short Hair Hairstyles (Keira Knightly)

Hello friends, today I decided to do a Short Hair Hairstyles post. However this may not be very relatable or popular amongst my audience so I may not do many of these. Let me know in the comments if you think this is a good idea as I think this is a bit of a gamble. However I think Miss Knightly looks lovely with this little headpiece. I also believe this would look lovely for a more casual prom look. At first I thought a headband would look weird in a pixie cut but here I think it looks beautiful....

And if you missed my last post and were interested in reading about the Royal Baby I will link that here. Thanks for reading Chums!

The Royal Baby!

Hello peeps, today marks a week since little Princess Charlotte was born so today I decided to do a little write up on the new addition to The Royals.

The new Royal Baby: Courtesy of Popsugar.com

Last week Kate and William announced the name of their beautiful little girl. Charlotte Elizabeth Diana highlights not only the current Queens name but Harry and Williams late mother Princess Diana. Many people believe that this name is just perfect for the new princess and I think it flows nicely.

Charlotte came in at 8lb 3oz and was born in the St Mary's Hospital, Westminster. Her birth was all over the news and her face on the front page of tabloids. Kate looked lovely in the photographs and I personally believe she is a style icon. Charlottes little brother George stole the show by looking cute (as always) and was rearing to go. Ready to show his cutest pose to the cameras.

(Me and my family always say that little George would be perfect for my 2 year old sister, Victoria. She has got the royal name and everything but she would be the most common princess ever)

We are all delighted for the new addition to the Royals and hope to see some lovely family shoots soon (or at least I do)

Thank you for reading and let me know in the comments your thoughts on the gorgeous new baby and whether you thought Charlotte was going to be a boy or girl, and do you like the name.

Thanks Chums! Xx

5 Things To Do If Ever In The North East! Xx

Hi, because of the election I am feeling very patriotic so came up with this quaint idea of what to do if you are ever in the North East of England. I have lived in the North East for a very long time, all my life in fact, and I have been to all of these places and I love them greatly. Anyway lets just get into this! Hope you like it and thanks for reading! Xx

(I should of really numbered the pictures but any who)
(going from left to right)

The first one is called Alnwick castle and if any of you are HP or Downton fans then this is the place for you as some scenes from these productions were filmed here. There are also many exibitions on throughout the year about Harry Potter so it is a must see if you are a big fan.

The large mansion below is called Bowes Museum and this also has many exhibitions on throughout the year. It's brilliant if you love history like me.

The third one along is one of my favourites and this is Beamish. It's called the Living Museum of the North because it is like you have gone in the TARDIS and gone back to times of post war. There are actors and the buildings are originals of the era. The pub there was taken from my home town brick by brick and moved to the museum. It is brilliant. (And the fish and chip shop is gorgeous.... Just putting it out there)

The next one is the Sunderland Empire Theatre and if you have seen my previous post about Wicked The Musical then you will know that I have recently been here, but it wasn't my first time. It is such a beautiful theatre and I wish to perform there one day (but I doubt it). Anyway its gorgeous and a lot of west end shows come here whilst touring so its the best place to go if you cant make it to the West End.

And finally the last one. This is the (drum roll please) the Metro Centre. And if any of you like a bit of retail therapy whilst in the North East then this is the place to go as this currently holds more than 340 shops ranging from 'Lush' to 'TOPSHOP'. Because of this it is one of the largest retail parks in Europe. It also has a cinema and a food court (I mean an area just dedicated to food). Some people say this place is like a box of chocolates as it is two layers of pure delight. A brilliant place for your Christmas shopping.

Anyway rant over. Thanks for reading and tell me in the comments if you like these kind of posts. Thank you chums! Xx

Crafty Sew n Sew/Prom Season (lace headband)

Hi, Today I'm giving you a new Crafty Sew n Sew post because well I haven't done one in a while. And I think this one will be great for a prom look (so I'm kind of killing two birds with one stone, that's a cool saying, as it will crosslink with my Prom Season Series). And I think it will go well with the prom look Ellie AKA That Weird Girl Ellie..... So yeah. However I should of done a post about British Politics as it was polling day anyway hope you like it and thanks for reading. xx

The Easiest Guide To Charity Shop Shopping!

Hello internet. Today I have decided to do a Decorate Your Home For Less post. I feel like Kirstie Allsopp when I do these posts. Any who today I am going to show my 'expertise' (as it were) in dun dun duuuunn......... (I'm guessing you read the title so I don't know why I am giving it a huge introduction)

1. Try looking in Furniture Charity Shops in Cities or large towns as they will get a large range of donations their from modern furniture to more original vintage pieces.

2. Always have a good look before you buy, some things can be deceiving (that's all I'm gunna say)

3. And that's it really. I don't know why I was making such a big deal of it to be quite honest

TOPSHOP Dresses! X

Hello again, just me. Did you have a good bank holiday because I did. Especially because E4 had a Big Bang Theory marathon on the other day..... Anyway lets just get into this. I believe that TOPSHOP is on point at the minute with their designs and I love the vintage inspiration they have got going on. So yeah that's my reasoning for this post, hope you like it and thanks for reading.

Hope you like it! X

The Furry Friend Tag!

Quite a while ago (sorry Ellie) I was tagged to answer questions about my cat so here you go.
Hope you like it!

1, What Is Your Pets Name?
Custard! I cant really remember why but its either after the cat on Strawberry Shortcake or because the first thing she ate was a custard cream biscuit.

2. What Kind Of Pet Is it And What Breed?
Custard is a cat and she is a tabby crossed with tortoise shell... I think
Also My Cat Is Sass Queen

3.  How Long Have You Had Your Pet Friend?
Since I was 7.

 4. How did you get your pet?
Funny story about this actually. I was at a friends house who’s cat had just had kittens. I was looking around at all the cats and this little cat came towards me. She seemed quite different. And that cat was custard. So it was like the cat picked me and to this day she still thinks she is boss.

 5. How Old Is Your Pet?
Ooh crikey. Around 8 or 9. So quite old for a cat.

6. What Are Some Quirky Things About Your Pets Personality?
Well I don’t know if this is a unique thing but when you say “bow for the queen” she will sit and then bow. I think I need to take her on Britain’s Got Talent to be honest.

7. What Does Your Relationship With Your Pet Mean To You?
I love my cat a lot, and so does my sister. She’s like a best friend and you can also play hide n seek with her which Victoria loves.
Casual

8. What Are Some Of Your Favourite Pastimes With Your Pet?
When she was little she somehow stuck an Easter egg box on her head and was running around like a headless chicken (pun not intended) and one day at Christmas she climbed right up to the top of the tree and it fell over and caused a huge sparkly mess. The cat was covered in glitter.

9. What Are The Nicknames For Your Pet?

Well there are quite a few. If she’s naughty I call her Cat and at other times she gets called Cust or Cus Cus. Victoria can’t say her name yet so she gets away with calling her Mew.

Prom Season-Vintage Casual

Hi, as Prom Season is under way for some people I decided to do a couple of looks that I really think show a bit of character and quirk.

Hope you like this idea (and by the way, I had a little gamble with the shoes so decided to put two pairs on.... Tell me which shoes you like in the comments)

Thanks for reading Xx
